there net worth is quite high enough, a pro player will sacrifice a big chunk of their chips just to see what the other player has. This information helps them in future hands when there are much higher stakes. Thats why you see players pushing chips in even though they know they are beat.

I flopped a set of 3’s and then he decided to call;)

What does Doyle say at 1:38? I can’t understand him. “I flopped a set of 3’s…..”

To all those people criticizing Daniel for calling the 35K on the flop even tho he knew he was beat, don’t understand high stakes poker.
If another diamond peeled on the turn or a 5 (which did happen) Daniel still has a shot at winning the hand.
Phil Gordon says “youre never that far behind in texas hold em”.
You don’t necessarily need cards to take down big pots

He calls out a lot of hands but they only air the times he guesses right. He throws out a hand that is a monster just to see what the other guy has. If he REALLY thought Doyle had 33 he never would have called for even half that size bet because he would have been a 3% chance to win. If he flopped aces up and folded then I would have been impressed. He had a shitty kicker and had to fold to any reasonable bet.

Its because doyle leads out alot when he has a big hand. If theres a raise preflop and its possible someone has AA,KK orAK which Farha might have had, Brunson likes to lead out cos he can build a much bigger pot. If Farha did have AA or KK he would have to raise on the flop, (flush draws) and then brunson could move all all in and get paid (its what he calls the strongest play in holdem). Daniel knows brunson likes to do that with 2 pair or trips so he knows its either trip 3s or trip 6s.

negreanu says he reads purely by betting patterns and not reads on opponents.

… and daniel talks a lot, he often throws hands out there, he doesnt need to know the exact hand ffor sure, but sometimes he nails it. What matters is hes in the ball park. People just go wow when they think he knew the exact hand, they dont remember the times daniel has known the strenght but gotten the exact hand wrong.

Daniel couldnt know it was a set, he just knew Doyle had a strong hand. A common trick against an aggressive player like Farha is to bet with a strong hand into someone who raised preflop to get him to raise with a pair or to make a move because he expects pple to trap with strong hands. Daniel knows this is what doyle was doing. It doesnt matter whether its a set or 2 pair, daniel couldnt beat any real hand. I doubt he would have folded AK on the turn, he wasnt so sure of his read.

Agreed. He also talks people into showing their cards sometimes, which gives him a better idea what ranges his opponents are playing.

Daniel IS amazing, but really, he is just one of those players who constantly talks about the hands other player may have.
It’s natural he will be right certain amount of times.
Other pros make reads too, they just don’t talk about them.
If he KNEW Doyle had 33 he would have folded the flop, wouldn’t he?

    I know
I call it “Stink Face then bet”, Look at Doyles face, he looks as if that was a terrible flop, then he bet anyways, weak means strong, Daniel knew that Doyle had a monster cuz of the whoa is me look on his face just before he fired that value bet into the pot. Which monster was a wild guess, sixes or threes. But thats why Daniel is the pro and I’m not, his instincts were on and he wasn’t blinded by his hand. Read any book from Mad Mike Caro and it will improve your game.
